Thanks, I don't have the output in my loom for that so I'll get in touch with RJES to see what's what
I think he does a front wiring conversion loom, surprised if the take off isn't there. It's just a couple of wires
Yes I have the extension so will ask him, nothing labelled. I finished wiring main loom last night and I was looking at your egr post and where you put the engine light then read your engine temp readings post and thought hang on, where's mine.
Thanks, yes just spoken to him, it is a purple wire, I now need to check to see if it's connected and get a gauge
Just ordered one of these, about £14 posted. Doesn't match anything inside my van but I couldn't resist https://m.aliexpress.com/item/32807683014.html?spm=a2g0n.shopcart.0.0.6f9c7ca7BcTfLM
I see your muffler at the side, is that round box at the front (back of engine) is that a catalytic converter?
Although to be honest the exhaust sounds brilliant when pulling away! Think it would hang too low for my bus though
and do you fix your lambda into that one?.. or doesn't it really matter . I'm going to have to go down the make your own route as a) cost and b) if there is any problem in fit the cost of post back and fwd for alterations will go mad. It doesn't look that difficult once bits are to hand. This is the basic design I'm starting from (to order bits)
The top pic is like mine, the lower pic is the older version. Lambda sensor goes in on the header just before the triangular flange. Some engines have two lambda sensors so check what you have. Nick tune is in the process of finalising an exhaust and is worth contacting (via Facebook)
thanks guys, i've just spoken with him. His exhaust is still under development but he did suggest a route to think about, taking a manifold off ebay like this one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/STAINLESS-EXHAUST-MANIFOLD-FOR-SUBARU-IMPREZA-1-6-2-0-GC8-GDA-GDB-NA-NON-TURBO/121362030320?fits=Car Make:Subaru&hash=item1c41bd9ef0:g:gcsAAOSwnHZYSrHv mated to a toyota MGF box (not found one yet) with some bends would work. Welding is possible.. So I'm going to give it a go.
yes that does bother me a bit but my options are quite limited at the moment, funds don't quite stretch to the full price + vat + delivery etc so I need to find an alternative. Exhaust Parts Ltd won't even supply me the bits but I'll keep looking
