officially I get 1/2 hour but working on my own I tend to not take it at a set time, if I'm busy I just work through and eat while working, I rarely leave the building as I can't be bothered to lock up and alarm for 1/2 hour.
couple of hrs normally , theirs prep, cooking, plating up. and selecting the wine then scoffin etc etc
oh and just to get things straight, you can call it lunch if it's during work time that's ok but it's actually Dinner time at midday, them's the rules.
so you eat lunch whilst being paid then have half an hour dinner ta work on the van ,is that what you mean
No, I mean, there's a break? Where you stop work? You mean you don't work through solidly from getting there in the morning to finishing in the evening like a demented bat weasel? Hmmm, need to look into this......
get 1 - 1.5 hrs for dinner and half hour morning and afternoon, if i am really lucky may even try a power nap as well. Its a tough life sometimes i even have to start work at a precise time
Depends on what the catering students have been cooking. If it's something really decent & the wine students have got something decent on their menu it can stretch to 2 - 3 hours & to hell with the afternoon classes. I mean, why should we bother? We're all being made redundant at the end of November anyway, might as well eat as much as possible on the governmental account.
You need to speak his language. Lunch is where one group of teachers shuffle off out of sight and smoke cigarettes and talk whack about the kids, others go to the canteen to show unity at the pig troughs (unless it's private school where it might be tidy food) whilst the remainders look like they are working but are surfing the web.
