yeah, them ones are a bug bear to store and use so market limited, the Lt is a useable size though malc's is maybe just on the limit but the 28 or 32 is certainly a go anywhere one, I'd like the one i linked.
Mine is fine for me and I love it. Some guy has contacted me and asked me to sell this holiday and says he has been after one for two years. He wants a good one and it has to be coachbuilt like mine. I was surprised at the amount of people that love coachbuilt LT's. I don't want to get into a what's my van worth thing. It's worth a lot to me. And that's what counts.
wasn't slating yours at all malc, meant size wise it's on the limit of being able to use as an emergency daily driver
I know mate. Mines great as a holiday bus and I have room to store it. It also doubles as emergency accommodation. I still can't believe the amount of people that love coachbuilt LT's though. They seem to have a cult following of knowledgeable dub enthusiasts. You could possibly substitute knowledgeable for old. Or savvy
move over syncro this is a beast malc! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-LT-40-...2453267?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item259cae3813
I saw it. It really is an overlander of gigantic proportions. It needs some work but what a fantastic bit of kit when it's done. It's a blank canvas 're the interior too.
cheap spares malc? i bet it won't fetch much? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-LT35-H...1?pt=UK_Commercial_Trucks&hash=item35e2aba759
Unless you green lane in this country that just strikes me as loud, slow and heavy on fuel... More of a lifestyle choice than your typical camper.
you seen the one that was a horsebox? i didn't realise there were so many "variants" the 28 up to 50 is that the limits? i'd not seen a 40 before, is it all the same just weight?
Well it's pretty clear that the rest of us T2 owners are a bit daft to own one and in comparisson virtually any other vehicle looks a savvy purchase, so I guess that's about right! But this is not a sensible comparision IMO. A T2 is an old classic that you can just about use and people without such large driveways or covenants that prevent coach built jobbies and caravans being parked at home can have and cherish one. They're not really for camping are they? I mean not primarily, no matter if you do use it every weekend for that. If camping was your sole aim you wouldn't buy one in a million years, unless they were £500 which is what got this whole thing rolling! I look forward to lounging on your sofa when it's raining at techenders though, maybe, if you let me in. A good thing for someone else to own from my selfish perspective.
