The rear brakes have lasted well then The condition of some of the rear brakes I've seen on busses is scary Mine weren't terrible but I wanted to get them to a good standard so they hopefully stay good for years to come. My brand new back plates had corrosion on them out of the box
Iv bought the oe Vw ones off vwh there in pretty good nick and well heavey was gonnna make a how to on here for folks ! They have lasted well I do loads of miles in the bus and normally only adjust em for mot Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Mine are genuine ones aswell Nice and thick like you said I was just miffed about them starting to corrode before they were even fitted. They should last well now since being painted in tractor enamel I daubed paint into the small gaps between the pressings in a bid to keep moisture out. When you come to fit yours make sure to use sealant between the bearing carrier and back plate. If you don't crud gets between them and holds moisture which rots them out from the centre. You can just make out the sealant in this pic.
