How can there be rust inside the wheel arches, the bus hasn't been on the road yet to have stuff sparayed up inside. Coming on
There's plenty of cavity wax in the void between the two panels and underseal in the arch tub. So hopefully that should help stave off corrosion once it is on the road
I've stripped and cleaned up the brake master cylinder. It all seemed fine if a little gunked up inside. I'll paint it and build it back up.
Did you get a rebuild kit for it as i've found the seals don't like being reused once its apart been as they tend to leak.
I haven't found a rebuild kit Fingers crossed it will be fine when reassembled as the seals look in good condition.
Ok, I'm going to ask as I am a numpty and don't know what it is? Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
This is the seal It slips into the end of the vacuum hose There are two of the same seals in the pipe between master cylinder reservoir and the top reservoir
re the master cylinder ,the bolt/screw, sometimes comes away (corrosion) where the spring is held on... i would double check the condition of that ...
The little ten mil headed one on top of the master cylinder? That's in good condition complete with the copper washer You can see it in this pic
no mate look inside the top of the spring... if it comes loose/off ,you press the brake and it sticks open....
Checked that and it's in good condition and tight. I've painted the cylinder and need to get some silicone brake grease so I can reassemble it.
