you need to film it for proof. And don't forget i know what it looks like from the top of fromes so no cheating. my van does 0 - 60 in less than an hour!
Next question. What is the minimum you need to do/spend on a type4 lump to get you near this figure. I've decided I need a sticker. I have the engine and an 091 box, so was hoping to use these as a base.
how big a cliff would i need to drive off to get to 60 in less than 18 seconds then? there's no chance mine will do it any other way - who can work out the terminal velocity or whatever it's called...... i'm not gonna do it for fun, you only get one go at the big one.
I guess ditching the camping interior will help! I have some Dellorto 40's. Cam is not too expensive. The heads are going to be the main issue then. Can the 2.0L heads be reworked to do the same job or are the 1800 heads a different design?
power is all about good heads,,that's where you get most bang for the buck the 1800 head got the biggest valves orig. I bought the most bad ass heads from machine brothers in usa, 48/40 valves, they where crap flowed 171 cmf sent them off to JPM in Sweeden, paid him 2500 and got them back flowing 248 cmf. that gained me 46 bhp more
My stock engine was 68 at the wheels so some way to go... I'll see what this AN engine is like, if the B+P's and heads are good I'll throw a new cam in, Pauls fish exhaust and see what I can get
That is cool .......Standard engine ? What mods did he do to basic engine ? How is he going to retard timing on boost ? Really really cool
Don't remember exactly anymore, think it got porsche 3 l. turbo cyl. A 66 mm. crank from a 1700/1800 ccm. turbo is from a mitsubishi 2,5 l. Fed by the old golf gti injection system
My clutch is slipping though. Will do some settling tomorrow as it's a complete brand new clutch kit so think I need to adjust the cable. It can't be engaging properly.
