  1. Hi all
I have a set of 4 matching tyres i have removed from my wheels for powder coating and will fit new tyres, they are good condition with no punctures and have approx 6 mm of thread and virtually no pherishing, they are however 9 years old so coming towards the end of there usefull life.
If they are any good to anyone on here please reply and pm me, they are collection only from NR340HS (near Beccles, Norfolk)

“Virtually no perishing” :eek:At 9 years old they are well beyond their use by date, take them for recycling, so nobody can risk a tyre failure and injury.

  3. Thats a bit dramatic, the tyre centre that removed them for me where more than happy to refit them if i wanted, i am quite happy to dispose of them, just thought i would offer first!

nice offer, they'd be fine on a spare or maybe some temporary wheels etc, maybe even a trailer.

  5. Those are in a helluva lot better condition than the ones on my bay.

  6. I need a set just to move my bay about - the side walls on the current ones have given up!

  7. Getting my new tyres fitted in a couple of hours so will leave these with them if no one wants them??? Norfolk is a long way from most people!

  8. You are welcome to them but guess to far away?

  9. @kenward were about 2 hours ish away from each other.
Unless the TLB courier service can assist in anyway

  10. The problem with tyres is not always the perishing but the hardening of the "rubber" compound - this reduces the grip of the tyres on even dry roads - wet will be deadly.
The manufacturers recommend changing the tyres after about 5 years - but I think that that is erring on the side of caution - 10 years is probably a sensible limit. I had 18 year old tyres on my MG that looked great - until I did a fish tail coming off a damp bend at only 40 mph - after changing my pants I went and got new tyres.

  11. Unfortunately I have no where to store then so will have to leave them, sorry

  12. No worries bud
