I am currently trying to help my MIL sell her T2 Westfalia Camper, which is currently located in West Wales near the town of New Quay. She has owned this camper for the last 10-15 years but it hasn't seen much use and needs someone who will love a project in order to get it back in spick-span condition! It currently has a few issues we are aware of: - Issue with electronics or battery meaning the battery is pretty much always flat. - Issue with clutch sticking. - Cosmetic issues, some cracks and rust (see pictures, which I have tried to cover all damage). These issues mean that it may need to be transported away rather than driven, the last time we drove it (when moving house last year) my FIL had to stay behind us with a set of jump leads and the engine had to be restarted a few times! She tells me that a few years back it had some welding done on the underside, and it also had the engine replaced (with a genuine part). We are not sure of the mileage on the replacement engine, but the camper has only been used 3/4 times since then. I have also attached any certificates we have for the camper itself and various parts. I have spoken to my uncle who has been doing up vintage cars and vans for as long as I can remember – My first (and only) attempt at welding was as a 12/13 year old in his garage – and he has said he has seen vehicles in far worse condition and that it looks pretty good to him, but hopefully you will be able to see yourself from the pictures! I am happy to take pictures of anything else that may be useful and answer any questions to the best of my ability, but please bear in mind my knowledge on automobiles is fairly limited! If you are interested, and looking for a new project drop me a text or call: +447427634827 We are looking for in the region of £8500 Thanks in advance! Simon
Yeah we're not looking to take anyone for a ride! We had a lady run off with nearly the same amount we are looking for a bow top caravan earlier this year that she refused to let us collect (after payment) so we're wanting to be as honest as possible as we know how it feels to be on the receiving end of a bad cookie! Thanks for the luck!
