    Zed Gradually getting grumpier

Posts should extend and attach to the middle sill - they support the load bed.

  2. Thanks Zed, Thought as much was just a bit difficult to work out with the middle sill long gone and the posts all cut off above the floor ;)

  7. A little bit more progress,

Found a few holes in the top of the chassis in the engine bay,

Cut out bad bits and welded new metal in.

Quick coat of paint and all looks much better now, rest of the chassis looks to be good so far.

A bit more wok done to rear corner as well, no more cardboard and filler :)

  8. Seeing as the weekend was nice and sunny I thought I would hide away in the garage and get some more jobs done,

Small pillar repair, not as bad as the other side :)

Then repaired the rear light mounting, getting the curve right was a little tricky but pleased with the result.

Then onto the rear corner panel,

Nice to do something other than cutting out rust :D

  9. Its been a little while since the last update so here goes,

Battery tray has been modified to fit the pickup rear corner,

next the petrol tank was cleaned and painted,

Tried welding up a few small holes in the inner rear valance but that didn't go well, they kept getting bigger  so I ended up cutting a section out and replacing it with new metal.

Trial fit of rear panels to make sure all is OK

Final job for now, I started preparing the top hat sections for the inner sill to go on, still a lot more to do here I think, the rear ones have been repaired at some point and the jacking point has been modified to suit the old homemade sills.

Then started with fitting the battery tray,
