WANTED A pair of front door cards

Discussion in 'Late Bay Parts Classifieds' started by top banana racing, Oct 3, 2013.

  1. They're going to be re-covered so vinyl condition is unimportant but do need to be solid.

  2. I may have some, need to compare them with my new set coming today
    That includes more kick panels!

  3. That's good!
If you'd like to buy two sets of rear arches and two sets of new headlamps that'd be good too!
Booked in @ Charlie's for the MOT next Friday.

  4. Charlie's got a fence to pay for, could be expensive :)

  5. Mine that I covered in vinyl were just cut out of hardboard using an old door card as a template.

I have a spare door card that I will eventually be using that you are willing to borrow as a template if you decide to go down the make your own route.

  7. I'm not very good with wood. (awaits the usual jokes)
    Is thin ply ok?

i think 3mm mdf is what they use!

  9. You want it as thin as possible and so not sure whether you can get ply thin enough.

  10. Ok, I'll get some tomorrow and give it a go on Monday.
    Guess I'll need a jigsaw?
Also need a engine lid seal, ignition switch, parcel shelf , speakers. Oh! And a big pot of filler and underseal. ;)
The list will get bigger, moT minus 7 days and counting. Eek!

  11. Good luck!

  12. I would go with ply, it handles any moisture a lot better than MDF although 4mm is the thinnest i think

  13. At that price I'll buy some! As he sells them individually.

  14. So
    Sorry Keith no I haven't.

  15. Keith, I'll get you a set with my door panels, call it swapsies for the kick panels?
