just bought an alternator backing plate and not sure which way up it should go so 2 questions the outer part that goes against the alternator has a hole in it (about 12mm) - which way up should this hole be....or does it really matter? and the inner part - which way up should the 'opening' go (the open area between outer and inner plates) cheers
cheers mate my dynamo backing plate didnt have the hole which confused me......and I didnt pay attention when removing it anyway to have noticed the 'opening' orientation)
