  1. Anyone done any dog agility and if so how did they get started.

  2. Not sure where the problem is ! if you are giving your bog chewy toys and he is chewing them to destruction ,then "result" ,keep providing him with things to chew , he obviously likes them . my staffie ate his way through 7 , yes 7 suites , he once met us at the door with a whole chair arm in his gob, timber frame , padding , the lot.
the day he ate his first kong was good day for all of us . if you think your dog is pining for you when you are out of the house , the solution is quick and simple .
Leave the house without making a fuss , don't even acknowledge the dog when you leave ( if you make a fuss of the dog when you leave he thinks its because you wont be coming back , it called separation anxiety) return to the house after 30 seconds and make a proper fuss of the dog .
repeat this for a couple of days , then increase the time to a couple of minuets . over the next few weeks increase the time to 5 min then 10 mins ect. The dog will learn that there is no need to frte when you leave because you will always be coming back . believe me ,it works.

  3. Where are you located ken?

  4. i don't nor have ever owned a dog but surely if you've left him treats inside things before then he is associating destroying something for reward, no?
    just a thought.

  5. I'm no psychologist, but they say dogs take after their owners....avoid the bed destruction issue and any social faux pas by sleeping on the floor and avoid the temptation to lick your balls in public...
Buy him some fruit gums...hours of fun for both you and your dog;)

  6. Cute puppy! Just sounds like puppy behaviour to me. Only start worrying when he craps in your bus........
