Believe it or not….

We’ve never owned a Breville type thing for making toasties! Going to buy one. What shall we get?
I know they normally end up collecting dust on top of a kitchen unit, but for those of you who regularly use one, recommendations please!

We’ve got a big flat surface type thing which is good
Those small ones the size of a slice of bread seem to be a waste of time

 

We have a double Breville. They are good.

We have this one just about to make some lunch.
We got a flat one as you can then do other things like paninis

lots of amazing recipes on line but a top tip if doing sandwich is to butter the outside

 

are you on a diet ...

 

Fry eggs on it too.

 

We have one in a cupboard somewhere. Don't waste your money. It takes a whole afternoon to clean the damned think after making a five minute sandwich.

 

Ours wipes clean in 5 mins with a paper towel..

 

You're not using enough cheese! You should see the mess Mrs P. Makes!

Breville, single, double, flat, ridge monkey, bus monkey , moon monkey!
I have so much stuff in my van now it barely moves. So I think I’m going for double Breville ridged which will stay at home. You win @Soggz !

But love em all and now, as a result I’m bloody starving!

These were the airfryers of day when they first came out - burn your mouth on hot tomato.

 

Indeed. Don't come staggering back from the pub, knock up a toastie and stuff it straight into your mouth. The cheese will be hotter than the surface of the sun

 

Welcome to the world of Toasties ! Modern ones are really easy to clean as all you do is unclip the grille bits and put them in the dishwasher. Freestyle and try anything ! I've got the munchies now but too lazy make a toastie but kinda thinking some Cheddar , artichoke hearts (the ones in oil drained off ) and some of the tube concentrated tomato puree .Remember butter on the outside and enjoy !
