So. I'm staying at jury's inn in the centre and want to take the missus shopping in the morning. We haven't got long and I want to get some spices too If I get time. HELP
Jury's Inn is on Broad Street. Head down Broad Street in the direction of the new library and keep heading in that direction. You'll get to the top of New Street, where the Town Hall is. The German Market has probably just arrived, so that'll be all down New Street. If you walk down New Street then there's shops all around that area, there's the Pallasades Shopping Centre about half way down New Street (above the Station), then if you go right the way down New Street to the end you'll get to the Bullring. There's also the Pavilions Shopping Centre there as well, but that's half empty because of the recession. If you walk through the gap in the middle of the Bullring Shopping Centre towards St. Martins Church, then at the bottom of the hill you'll find the outdoor market, the rag market and the indoor market. I'll be up town this morning, so I'll keep an eye out for you.
just seen this. Lou and I were in the Jurys inn a few weeks back. Nia and symphony hall are opposite. I noticed the big wheel being put up on Thurs night too.
We went to the so called German market. Not a stitch of germanness! Unless you call ostrich burgers. Lincolnshire sausage. Xmas dinner and tat stalls German??? Loved brum though. I was really pleasantly surprised. We'll be back!

I saw English. French. Asian. But not one German. And not a single sausage. I was really looking forward to stuffing a big hot German one in me :0
You needed to go right to the bottom of New Street, there was a German Sausage place right next to the Bullring.
