Bug Jam 2014

  1. Is it a good idea to get tickets early for BugJam?

Its been a very long time since I have been to this festival, must be more than 20 years!

    Does it sell out?

  2. Sorry for the title! Silly mobile phone!

    BugJam!

  3. Terrordales

    Terrordales Nightshift

    Fixed it for you :hattip:

  4. Oo. Ta.

  5. You'll be in for a shock if you've not been for 20 years!!

Full of chavs, and always sold out to capacity (60000 I think)

Year before last they had to turn away people with advance tickets as they'd let too many people in during the day on the Friday

  6. Oh and the barn has been replaced due to health and safety

  7. Ah, So not such a good event anymore then?
    And I'm thinking family too

  8. I've been going for years but I think this year was my last......its not the event it was. Its got a lot bigger and a lot more popular but it used to be a car show with festival like stuff on the side and now its a festival with a few cars scattered about. The emphasis isn't even really on the VW contingent anymore, as you're more likely to see the camping area's full of other marques and the attendance is mainly wreck-heads in their late teens to late twenties. I'm looking at other events to replace this in my summer calendar now......or I might just sack the show scene off altogether and get back into surfing instead :)

  9. Last time I went I had the fish on the road... I went for a bit of 1/4 mile action, and all I managed (not for lack of trying) was 3 passes!! All of the other stuff (top fuel cars, drag bikes, and 1/8th mile kids) kept clogging up the track!! o_O

You've got 2 other aircooled vw shows at the pod... Big Bang, and VW Action... both are more traditional shows!! :)

  10. Ah... I'll look at them instead. Thanks for the tips.

I'd say this is the one to go to if you want more buses and less chavs racing round in golfs and keeping you up all night with banging Marmitee so called music

  13. WHS :)

  14. went to Bugjam last year and loved it but like above it is a big festival and you do get alot of idiots there, i did VW action as well, not so in your face and a very nice atmosphere :)

(will be at Bugjam 2014 on the Thurs ;)

  15. There is dubs at the castle caldicot on at the same time it's family orientated and dogs are allowed which is a bonus!
