WANTED Cargo Floor Panel

Discussion in 'Late Bay Parts Classifieds' started by StevieJD, Jun 12, 2013.

  1. A previous owner has done a complete bodge job when they cut a hole to get to the fuel level sender. Want to repair it properly and was wondering if anyone had a piece of ridged cargo floor panel lying around. Looking for a minimum size of 35cm across by 20 cm long.
    Cheers
    Steve

You need a bit of back shelf cut. Cargo floor is a different profile.

  3. Correct, as zed sed (again) I got a piece of the wrong stuff you dont need as I had the same problem but worse, as the cutting went past the back shelf and around onto the firewall. Decided to make an aluminium access panel painted the same colour as the engine access lid, rather than weld in a new piece, that way if the sender goes again its easy to get at. I'll try and take a photo tomorrow. If you can get a piece of back shelf, cut it over size by 20mm all round and screw/rivet in place.

  4. Thanks zed and TheGazman, I'd have got the wrong thing. I'd seen a ridged cargo panel on JK and assumed it would fit. You've saved me a few quid.
Better create a new wanted thread for the right thing:)
