FOR SALE CJ Code Type 4 engine - for rebuild - £495

Genuine CJ code 2.0 litre engine, complete with:

• Fan housing (matching number to engine block)
• Thermostat & bracket (Type 1 thermostat, working order)
• Fan, cooling flaps etc..
• Correct heads (37.5/33mm valves) - have been reworked with new valve seats
• Genuine VW pistons & barrels (two of the pistons have minor dings in them from small swarf or the like having entered the combustion chamber but are otherwise fine. Barrels need honing
• Correct 228mm flywheel
• All rocker gear, pushrods, tubes, clips, rocker covers etc.

Engine will need a rebuild with new white metal bearings, new camshaft and new lifters, new piston rings (not included in sale).

Not often that you see an engine with matching case & fan housing. It needs some TLC but a great basis for a rebuild.

Included with the sale are:

• Heat exchanger and exhaust set-up (complete with hot air pipes and riser tubes but no heater control valves), heat exchangers need some TLC but are very usable. Oval port exchangers
• Rear silencer
• Set of tinware
• Complete solex PDSIT 32/34 twin carb set-up
• Engine support bar, mounting brackets & engine mount brackets
