classic motor show nec 2013

off this morning with @Moons - thought i'd started a thread last month but can't find it the search keeps bringing up last years, anyone else going?

after last years fiasco of queues to park and extortionate parking fees we are going via train.

 

It'll be replaced by a Bus service!

Shock - horror - car drivers turn up at car show. Whod of thought! have a good day at the show. Wish I could be arsed to do stuff like this id probably enjoy it.

 

Now remember look both ways before you cross the road ,dont talk to any strangers and certainly dont take sweets of anyone in campervan

 

I accepted sweeties off a stranger and @rickyrooo1 got a card off a real photographer who has a studio and everything.

VW's take up maybe 0.5% of what's there.

The lack of VW's and crap such as VW towels make it an enjoyable show.

There's even an auto jumble that isn't all reproduction and some of the stalls have show 'discounts' that are actually cheaper than norm.

A lot of the stands have people with interesting stories about their vehicles, as well as trailer queens and über expensive Bentley Blowers and Group B cars.

If there were more VW's I'd probably not go as it would be a lot of the same stuff better catered for at Stamford Hall.
