  1. need to get the crankshaft pulley off, i have removed the big bolt.

is it possible to get it off without a crank puller? or do i need to buy one?

i thought maybe a gentle tap with a hammer, and a little heat in the middle?

  2. well, it depends... you can lever them off with 2 flat bladed screw drivers, but you get the odd one where you have to use a puller and heat the pulley, then throw the pulley in the bin as it bends it

You'd be surprised how easy they (often but not always) come of with a wiggle and a jiggle and bare hands. ;)

  4. i had a quick tug earlier (not how it sounds ;)) but it didnt budge, ill try again tomorrow, if not ill spray some lube on it and maybe some heat and try the screwdrivers.

Sometimes, the more effort you apply, the more you merely wedge it onto the crankshaft.

  6. yea lube and tug it... :))

then have a go at the pulley next week... :p

  7. managed to get it off, i used the 2 screwdriver idea.. and snapped a pretty much new £20 impact driver :(

then found a mate who had a big bearing puller and used that. it worked. YAY!

  9. im not sure, its not visibly bent, but i put it face down on the floor and it has an ever so slight wobble when you push down on either side.
ive got a billet scat one to go on though, so it wouldnt matter if it was. :D
