engine mount position 1600 tp

  1. hi do you know which way round the rubber mount should fix on the engine bar? or does it matter not a jot??

  3. In anticipation...................I think you could do with a couple of new rubber mounts!!
    I seem to recollect that they are symetrical at birth.

  4. Slightly shorter side outwards. Yours don't look in great shape ;)...
     
  5. They're like that on mine, and they're staying like it! May have put them on the wrong way round, mind ;)...
     
  6. Cheers luvvies. Mine aren't as bad as they look, it's because I've stored them in a pile of mud right where they landed when i removed them 4 months ago. In the interests of equality I used this technique with my engine as well, although I did cover that loosely with a shower curtain to prevent soap suds getting in the carb when I'm washing my hair in the garden.
    Snotty you're engine is going to fall off imminently with those rubbers oriented incorrectly, sort it ASAP man!
