Been caught a couple of times on vzi too but it's a nicer crowd on here but Marmite happens! When you put it against the amount of stuff I've bought over the last 15 years or so via forums that's been A1 it's not such a big deal I suppose!

 

Alot of people (including myself) have given stuff away on here. So to hear you've been done is shocking (or am I being soft?). I remember this coming up and very nearly going for it myself, so could have been me. Sad to hear it.

I do remember having a pop at obi-wan-ker-jay for buying an interior off a member on here and trying to resell it ON HERE a few months later at 250 quid more . I pointed this out and he was less than impessed ....

As an aside i`ve bought quite a few bits on here with no problems whatsoever although i did get stung for £70 doing an ebay deal as a `gift` .

There`s always someone willing to spoil the fun ...

 

To be fair there is nothing wrong with doing that ...most bay owners will have made a few quid on their bus or parts as they have appreciated over time ...if he was gifted the parts then sold them it would be different .... I still think he’s dead !

 

Really sorry to hear you got caught, I nearly went for that too - had I been quicker. Luckily there are mostly honest, decent people on here. That's been my experience. It would be good if someone could get an original to use as a pattern as I think a few of us would buy one.

I've politely pm'd him quite a few times and emailed him via the PayPal email address too so it's obvious that he's not interested in sending the part or even replying! It might be an idea if its possible for the moderators to ban him from selling on here to save the same thing happening to somebody else?

 

It seems his name is Jay fletcher and was a director at 'make my bay' between July 2012 and July 2013 according to companies house. I think the guy who was jailed for fraud who run the company was an Adrian Wells. Not nice reading really
