Hi all, After a favour. would anyone be so kind as to post a pic of how and where you have fitted your facet fuel pump in your late bay? got everything I need just want to put it in the right place. cheers..
Mines underneath mounted on rubber blocks. You'll be surprised at the noise they make when I unsuppressed by mounting blocks. Feed comes off the coil to a relay that triggers power for the pump, chokes and split charge relay via a fuse box.
Facet pumps are generally high pressure I think so you may need a pressure regulator as well. When you add it up, the CB performance (quiet) rotary pumps look good value.
have a bad crash in your van and that pump will keep on pumping till someone turns off the ignition take the trigger from the oil pressure switch and it will stop when the engine stalls
Already have decided to take the feed from the oil pressure guage. got the same advice from someone else but thanks. It is a great tip. Thanks for the rubber block tip. The photo above looks an amazing job. Before I get the drill out. Can people suggest the best place to mount the Facet pump in my bay. It has a type 1 engine so, although the image at the top looks cool, it is not very practical to fit it there. the fanshroud is in the way. Pics would be awesome. yours hopefully.
PLEASE? Is the fire wall really the best place to mount the Facet pump? Think I can mount it next to the Filter king as mine is in exactly the same place as the one in the picture at the top of this thread.
