I meant maybe a couple of 10mm holes in the pressed horns, shoot some Dynax or similar in. Intend to do it on mine. As you well know, it's the pressed horns that rot (from the inside).
Think I've finally lost it. Original plan was to touch up some paint underneath the van where the beam goes . But I've been under there cleaning those bits up for paint and got carried away scraping off underseal..... I'm now going to strip the entire area under the cab and repaint Somebody stop me!
Thinking about it, we've had Freya for nearly 10 years already... Somehow, I don't think this resto is ever going to end!
when you start taking it apart at this time of the year you know you'll never be on the road before the summer
Scraping underseal. On my back. Fully clothed. For a change. And a hat. On a hot day. Living the dream. Clothes will go in the bin at the end.
An attractive looking chap at the park! Apart from him, the brake bias valve wotsit, it's in the way for scraping/painting so will take it off and at least give it a flush through, maybe even strip it for a proper clean
I'm biased, as I'm a Dynax S50 fan . Big aerosols, 1m nylon lance and spray head, shoot it straight in. It'll stop any further corrosion. Much better than faffing with Waxoyl sprayers (which work for about 5 minutes, then block up. Mine went over the fence).
