Hi Folks... Looking for a 2.0l six rib gearbox for late bay... Anyone hiding one back there?.... If so don't be shy... Cheers...
Save your cash and get a new ring and pinion fitted to your box and get it rebuilt at the same time, 2.0 box prices are mental and they then usually need a rebuild
How much better are the 6 rib ones, and in what way? Sorry for a bit of a derail, but after laying under my 1979 2.0 litre for a bit this last week, I don't think mine is original, and it seems to be a 3rib.......how will this differ/affect the van overall? Cheers, oh more knowledgable people!
The 6 rib box is in a stronger case and has longer gear ratios, better suited to a more powerful engine. In reality it's just reduces the revs slightly.
