Hi everyone. Recently joined the scene with a '72 bay. Looking for some inspiration and guidance on running gear. Currently with a type 1 1600, but screams its head off at 50mph. I'd like to stay air cooled but will need higher cruising speed. Fuel gauge doesn't appear to work, and wipers don't work. Everything else seems to operate as it should. Interior is original (devon) cooker, sink and fridge, with an updated upholstery on rear bench/bed and seats. I'll be looking for some education on welding etc, so if anyone is around the Warrington area and in need of beer tokens or pocket money , and willing to teach a newbie, it'd be much appreciated.
