has anyone ever made DIY over riders?

  1. im not sureif this was supposed to be in here or the mech & tech.

But yesterday i made myself some nice bumper overrider templates, my plan was to copy it to sheet metal, cut them out, weld together with a strip, and make myself a nice pair of front and rear over riders.

but then i thought... has anyone actually done this? in theory it sounds pretty easy but getting the smooth corners could be tricky, heat and then hammer to a curve maybe?

if not does anyone know where they can be found?
i gather its hard to find some over riders for less than £300 odd.
