Evening all, We've joined the air cooled crew lately. Picked up this lovely late bay last weekend... She's in not so bad nic (subject to change . Had a lot of work done already, running gear and chassis wise, I've just got to finish the rest of the body work off, which is a new challenge for me! I'm a mechanic by trade, but not worked with bodywork before so I'm looking forward to tackling the rust ^-^ Not sure what roof conversion it is just yet, will need help identifying it once I get some more pictures up online. Thought I would say hi 8) Dunc & Nix.
Thanks, plans are to restore over time (colours undecided) and then use it for trips away, fingers crossed round Europe. Its my first camper so need to do a lot of research about how they all fit together. I'd like it lowered a bit, with a 3/4 rock n roll bed and cooker/fridge and cabinets down the side. Oh, and some tombstones in the front 8) Here are some other pics of the day we got it. Trying to get her running, found a perished fuel line later hence why it wasn't starting. My brothers toy being put to good use. > Lot's of this expected! My other toy in the background Lot's of rust around the windows Hopefully there are repair panels available?
Hello Dunc. Welcome to TLB. You've got some serious work on there, but you will find some great advice and help on here.
Welcome. The roof looks like a Devon. I think its a devon as carpet material inside is the same as mine and mines a Devon.
Hi and welcome. Keep the updates coming as we are all nosey sos and sos on here and like to know that others are sharing our pain.
