Help!!!!!!! Fan hub nut!!!

Can't loosen fan hub nut.... Any suggestions other than engine out?

 

just can't get it off

 

Have you put the van in gear? Handbrake on too obviously

 

loose oil and "shock it " with one fit big blow?<(dodgy,i know)

 

Windy gun is the best way... the flange on the bolt is serrated to prevent it undoing too!!

Hitting it is unlikely to help either!!

 

Yes Paul, hanrake on in gear and against the kerb ... Just won't budge.. Think it's going to have to be engine out and fly wheel lock tool jobby.. Arghhh

... And it's off... And carrier ... Seal out ... Seal in ... Fan on... And home.... Hooray.
They finally got it off with a snap on electric gun.. I had my doubts but what a tool ... They said you can take lorry wheel nuts off with it.. What an amazing cordless gun
