but have you had a look at a 1977 Westy, rear hinging pop top with Berlin interior, painted Jaffa?

just jokes but it was seeing a few different conversions that made it clear to me what we wanted.. Was very gung-ho at first, and thought we wanted modern refurb'd van, but after seeing an old classic, our heart was sold!

its a lot of money to part with, so worth considering - and everyone has their own preferences!

Funny enough we are off down to VW Kampers on Tuesday to have a look at the different styles of buses before we take the plunge. The reason we are looking at the devon was the full head height along most of the van and the ability to stand up when both hammocks are up, not too sure what headrooms like in a westy, hence the viewing.

good work! ask to have a look at a westy berlin conversion.. the head room is fine for us when the upstairs bed isn't fully folded out. We always sleep up there. but we don't have kids, so likely different dynamics at play.. the devon just may be perfect for you! but worth working that out before buying

Hello from another newbie.

Any chance you can bring your viewing forward a couple of weeks. There will be a lot of VW experts camped 15miles away from SOT next weekend.....just a thought.
