horn/ radio

    thought i would wire me horn up on a push button switch wired it up no problems but now ive put it in place every time the horn goes of my turns off radio amp as well
    they are on the same fuse box but not connected together both are coming of the leisure battery

    am i drawing to much juice for the horn

  4. If you're switching the horn in the earth lead, as in the original, it'd be unwise to connect it to a +ve feed on the fusebox...you'd be shorting the battery out. Hopefully there's a fuse somewhere.

    im not sure what ive done its not original its just a push button
    maybe ive wired it wrong on the button i didnt think it would matter thou as im only making a curcuit

    got bored trying to sort it out so ive just been for a spin around town while the suns shining
     
  6. horn normally is wired + from fuse box to horn and - from horn to horn button which completes the earth. It does sound like your shorting something causing a voltage drop which is making the amp go off. Any burning smells?

    Why do you want the horn off the leisure battery?

    it was the easy place to wire it to make sure it all works

    this is how ive wired it all i can think thats different to how it was before i put all togethr properly is the wires on the back of the button
