  1. Please can anyone help?

My bus won't start after a run, - doesn't need to be a particularly long run, but it's a 'mare to restart, and runs like a dog before cutting out... Any thoughts?

    I'm really stuck here..

As its FI you really need to check every hose in the setup for being cracked as if it sucks air in it will run badly lean hot and try to damage cylinder heads.
It will be harder to start because the FI will not richen the mixture like when its cold a cold start because the engine and cylinder heads will be very hot, so the FI will assume it has the right mixture only its too lean.

  3. Could be the starter motor on its way out? is your battery fully charged?

  7. Check that the red and white striped wire from the dual relay to the starter is connected

  8. Okay, I have gone through several options with trying to find a resolution with the fi, but just about reached the end with it!
I am going to bin the fi for now, and fit carbs (I bought a used set for just such an occasion)

Any advice on what I might need in order to make the transition as smooth as possible?

  9. Next time it wont start, try turning the ignition on (dont start engine) wait for at least a minute, then try starting it.

My FI does that and its because of the Aux Air Valve. It lets extra air through when you first start engine to help cold engine start but closes it off after a minute or so when 12v from ignition being on is applied to it. When engine is hot and you turn engine off for a few minutes the valve opens up again and then when restarting the hot engine (that doesnt need the extra air) it runs like a dog until the 12v has been on long enough to close the valve off again. Once the valve has closed again it runs perfectly again.
