How can you tell if a battery is unserviceable?

im not sure if my leisure battery is at fault or if my fridge is causing the problem.

Basically our fridge will only work for about 12 hours on a fully charged leisure battery, normally it would go for a long weekend of 60 hours.
As soon as I hook up the fridge starts up again and works perfectly.
Is there a simple check that I can do on the leisure batt to see if I need to replace it?

 

you could a put it on my charger at camp it tells you if the battery is holding and maintaining

 

By using an intelligent battery tester - I have one in my van which we could have used if I had popped in the other day...

battery hydrometer
take it to a garage / caravan place and ask them to test it

 

Or use Barneys unfeasonably long tongue and ask him to lick both terminals at the same time - if fluids leak from every orifice ( not the battery) id say it was charged

Yeah, I though that would be the answer but Dazza's tester sounds a lot easier if I can test it in situ.
