im not sure if my leisure battery is at fault or if my fridge is causing the problem. Basically our fridge will only work for about 12 hours on a fully charged leisure battery, normally it would go for a long weekend of 60 hours. As soon as I hook up the fridge starts up again and works perfectly. Is there a simple check that I can do on the leisure batt to see if I need to replace it?
By using an intelligent battery tester - I have one in my van which we could have used if I had popped in the other day...
This is like mine but there are other ( cheaper ) types that should do the job http://www.google.co.uk/aclk?sa=l&a...rl=http://isswww.co.uk/act-612-battery-tester
Or use Barneys unfeasonably long tongue and ask him to lick both terminals at the same time - if fluids leak from every orifice ( not the battery) id say it was charged
Yeah, I though that would be the answer but Dazza's tester sounds a lot easier if I can test it in situ.
The next time I'm over that way will be next Friday - any good or will all the bourbons be gone by then?
