I've had the same one since 1997 - so 27 years. How old is your current mobile number i.e. the one you use today?
21 years, and it's one of those memorable numbers you'd need to pay extra for today, probably worth more than the phone.
I reckon I first had a mobile phone in about 2000; I definitely had one by the time I started working where I do now in 2001. It's always been the same number. I'm not sure I'd cope if I had to change it after all these years. I'm too old for that kind of mental anguish!
20+ years it was my second BT ( o2 ) number they got shirty the first time I changed provider and dumped that number but I’ve manage to keep my second one since!
I've had mine since the mid to late 90's when it was Cellnet which then became BT Cellnet. Now I feel old!
Don't tell me, you had one of the old Motorola Dynatac 8000? Well, if you did I bet you wish you still had it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/39479330...yYbN7sLMBnH0bvWVHoidkleeVZbs7G9BoC9BUQAvD_BwE
My current phone is an iPhone 12 which I purchased 2nd hand and have had some 2yrs. Before that was an iPhone 7, before that was an iPhone 3, before that was a Nokia 6300, before that was a Nokia 6170, before that was a Nokia 3310 and my first phone was a name I do not recall. but it was huge/heavy and useless with a pull out aerial. I still have my Nokia 6170 flip phone and I still keep the batteries topped up. Ive always intend to use it when I go abroad and buy a 'pay as you go' Sim in the country I am staying in (on the basis of 'who would steal an old non smart phone')......plus I actually like how small it is when in my pocket. I think mine dates from the early 2000's, so its about 20 years old. Came with a prepay phone.. they sent me two by mistake so I kept the 'best' number and sent the other one back..
I still have all the phones from the Nokia, up stairs. My wife still has her ‘Peoples Phone’ that Nicolas Lyndhurst advertised in ‘92 ( maybe). I think it was £5.00 per min. Still in its box with contract.
