Strangely enough, when I went outside to do the bins, I found a package left outside the door from Amazon . . . for our next door neighbour. Spooky! BTW the cauly cheese was excellent and I didn't ruin a hat!

I ate my body weight in custard creams at the car boot sale, scoffed some marked down Marks and Spencer sushi whilst dashing round Chichester at the end of the day, and just polished off a malt loaf whilst catching up with the Test cricket. I am strangely rather envious of everyone’s cauliflower cheese!

I had a few little jobs lined up yesterday, which all changed when I went down the garden and found the pond nearly empty. Spent the rest of the day wrestling with the leaky filter and cleaning the filter and the stream bed out. There’s a blockage in the pipe work somewhere so the filter is backing up and losing water there. Today I will be deconstructing the top end of the stream to find the problem.
Took a drive over the mountain to France (only 1/2 hour away) in the daily. It's snowing and on the way back the car slid round a hairpin...just managed to control it. Also the temperature lights went from 2 up to max in a second and a warning beep. Stopped the car but it wasn't overheated...water ok. Oil ok. Drove off after a few miles it happened again. Maybe a short circuit?
One of the best cauliflower cheese we have , is made with broccoli and bread crumbs mixed in with the cheese sauce... From that cockerner-knee-cant Jamie Oliver....
