I need to get rid of some stuff. Gearbox identification help required please

I'm having a major sort out and have a gearbox that I can't remember for the life of me where it came from. Is it a bus box or beetle ?

Any help appreciated

There'll be a code stamped into it somewhere!

 

I flipping looked everywhere but can't find it

 

The u shaped bracket on the end.. Has 2 bolts.. Remove them. The code is under there.

 

Ok ta, will take a look in the morning.

 

Did beetle boxes have eyes for a top mount?. The code should be on the bottom somewhere covered in crap
