    Thanks Simon

  2. Had mine lowered recently by T2D, I didn't specify a height just told them it needs to be a usable height for us to use for camping etc.

I went for adjusters in the beam, adjustable rear spring plates & lowered shocks all round!

We are very pleased with it & will be loading up for the bus stopover this weekend so I will report back next week what it's like fully loaded :)

  3. What size tyres are you running and have you got more room to lower

  4. I left it completely in the hands of T2D so not sure how much lower it would go or what profile the tyres are lol, I will have a look at the tyres tomoz...

What’s the load rating on those tyres? Post up the full tyre size if you don’t know.

  7. I'm not sure as I'm away with work at the moment but the tyres were sourced by Type 2 Detectives along with the wheels which came from VW Heritage so I presume they are suitable for my bus!

I wouldn’t presume they are suitable for your bus. Low profile tyres with a high enough load rating for a van are not common, the 175/55x15 probably has a load index of 77 (412 kgs) the 185/65x15 is probably 88 (560 kgs). The gross front axle weight of your bus is 1010 kgs, rear is 1300 kgs and the tyres should be rated to suit the potential load - your tyres could be overloaded and in the event of an insurance claim you might find your insurance is invalid.

  9. Where is best to buy shocks for a lower bus

  10. ours is part lowered and when full of cmpaing gear it is fine .................accept to speed bumps then it is just painful ( its lowered about the same as Robo's)
