Installing VW Symbol

Discussion in 'Restorations' started by Aaldum, Oct 12, 2013.

  1. Hi all,

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend?

I have just come into ownership of an original VW symbol and would now like to fix it on the front of Vesper.

It has some small prongs on the back of it. I'd like some tips on how to fit this? Anyone done this?

I have no holes in the front of the van. Would using something like 3m 5200 work after cutting off the prongs?

    Thanks for your time!!

Use one of those padded double sided tapes.

Sounds like you have an early metal badge? , they are held by clips on the metal spikes, not plastic plugs like later badges, I would drill the panel and fix it properly

  11. Id use 3m trim tape

  12. It's a very difficult game but 50 points if you get one in the middle :)
