So, I just got my renewal through from Adrian Flux and it's gone up by 35% in a year, this seems like a bit of a ******* take to me, especially as I've moved to a new house and the van is now garaged and not on the drive like this time last year! Time to ring round for quotes I think....... Anyone got any good suggestions?
Try Cherished - 0845 2508282 - ask for Greg tell them you are a tlb member and i told you to call him
Shop around. They always bump it up the next year. Then all of a sudden they can match/better a quote for far less. Very annoying. Also, JK send you a £20 voucher if they're not the cheapest.
As others have said: shop around. Personally I wouldn't touch Cherished again (and won't come renewal time) as I don't deal with people who lie to customers if I can help it.
Just rang Cherished , Greg was out but the quote I got was less than half AFlux renewal figure! £140 vrs £285 ( including breakdown with both )
If you read the small print then surely they have told you the full story by proxy , it is up to you to make sure anything you purchase is not mis'sold to you surely ? i have had experience of insurance company's in the past and to be frank they are all much of a muchness re flannel , if you do find one who explains the small print completely, one of you is going to have a very big phone bill because it will take a age , i read your thread re cherished and you came across as bitter you seemed like someone who felt cheated and was out for revenge , but worse than that - you had not actually used the service abroad anyway ! "Dog with a bone " was a phrase that sprang to mind ! i'm not defending them as i think everyone is the same but they are cheap
Malcolm, ***** off. It's fairly obvious your mate works there. I had used their insurance abroad but luckily I didn't need it as I didn't break down. Just as well as it turned out. If you read my thread you'd know they categorically mis-sold the policy, as was evidenced by the FSA getting involved.
Agree you deffo should read the contract as soon as it arrives ,line by line ,as you have "remote purchase" right to cancel ,small print is all in Insurance .When I (eventually) got round to reading my last policy ,it was so obviously no good for my needs, my fault ,should as said ,have read it soonest,as I now do.
