It looks like an axilary fan to me. the type in tubes of a bug to help send forward the "heat" . It does not look like a fan for the hot air on a Bus. Ours is a '73 and the heat fan has two outlets pointing in opposite directions. and the outlets are round not square.
Works fine, nice and quiet, i have an Eber BN4 fitted, not part of that unless its an auxiliary? the inlet is round outlet square
From the quick read i had on the samba they are v good but impossible to retrofit, weird looking compared to the BN4,s, think ive got the y piece on the left as well
Keith's looks nice and shiny, mine is covered in 30 years of dirt. Anyone know how I can test mine to see if it works?
The amount of support davidoft has given me of late if i had the money id buy it for him How much do you want for it dude or is there anything you want to swap for it?
If it has 2 terminals on it put a battery to it, if it goes round it works leave it running a few minutes to see if it smokes or stops as the bearing fails and seizes to the shaft though it will turn for a bit before overheating
As this is Keith's thread see if he wants to sell his first mate, if he doesn't and mine works I will sell it. Speak to Keith and give me a shout.
