Have you tried a friendly phone call. It sometimes works. When I set up in business I began to trade under a very unimaginative title using my initials. I had been going a few months when I got a call from an irate but calm local builder who patiently explained that he had spent 5 years building up his business under the same initials. We came to an arrangement over drinks the next night. I changed my name and he passed on any extra work. Sorted. We are still in touch 27 years later.
Jesus, that's a bit extreme isn't it? Given all the choices why would you change your name to Malcolm? You could have gone for something cool, like Max Power
