Cheers! I want to paint it a nice grey but swmbo wants to keep it white, so I'm looking for a suitable white pearl, but that's a long way off
It would always have to be an original VW colour for me, pearl white, orange wheels I always think they look better and are more useable the right side of ratty.
What about this, no matter how bad your new found welding skills it will cover it up!! http://www.rustypaint.co.uk
VW did a pearl didn't they? Trust me, I know what I'm doing. I'm taking good care and the changes will be subtle... You'll still recognise it and will have a unique place in its history The orange wheels are to match the orange engine. Can't have engines and wheels that don't match!!
I know someone who did this, it cost him a fortune! Did you see the info I got from the guys in South Africa?
No pearl white http://www.wolfsburgwest.com/colors/7172bus.htm They did a pearl white up to 68 though, so a split colour
I saw a car today that had orange wheels like yours and matching orange roof tip spoiler, like a factory option. Pretty sure it was a Nissan, one of those fake 4 x 4 s that looks like a bunch of haemorrhoids . Edit. Err wasn't implying your pickup was going to look like piles, rather were you aware Nissan are copying you?
I reckon that the offset of those wheels could cause a problem especially at the rear as they seem to be more out biased if you know what I mean, have a look at the ones below and you will see what I mean
No the offset is fine not at home right now but I think they are ET45? With the rears fitted there is stacks of clearance for the arches, even if I fit spacers
That looks very cool. I'm looking at a slightly darker grey. I actually have an option on a set of genuine 911 Fuchs. I also have an offer from Otto Fuchs themselves on a new set of fuchsfelge but I'm not sure I'd be able to make them fit. That would be v.cool @holmsen here you are Jan, I know you was waiting for a final pic of all 4 wheels in place
