can i use my jump lead to charge my leisure battery
ie keep them connected at alll times would this damage the leisure battery

  2. Potential for lots of sparks in the engine bay, and what if one came loose? I wouldn't recommend it myself.

  3. It will work but it's DANGEROUS, you'll also drain your vehicle battery when using the leisure one.
Buy a split charge relay, they're less than a tenner if you search around and a piece of p*55 to fit.

    I agree with them ^^^

I fitted one in the T5, from engine batt to leisure batt under driver's seat. Look bloody technical on internet but from if a doddle.

Its fine after all its all the split reley would do and its no different than jump starting i have use the leisure battery to jump start the van

i would not do it all the time only in a emergency due to sparks with fuel and battery gasses and if running the engine watch out for the lead and the pulleys

You will only need one lead pos to pos as the negs should be connected through the body work
