  2. cheap cheap! go for it. left hand drive is great and you soon get used to sitting in the gutter (and the screams from the passenger as you get a bit too close to the white line :)

Update, been for a look, bodily really good, front out riggers/ top hats bit dodgy, one sill outer, the rest just surface,
the cab steps, floor, load bed, locker, doors, lids, gutters all good,
    Everything is there,
But, think the engine is seized, rolled ok in neutral but put it in gear and the back wheels were skidding when we pushed it back and forwards, no discernible movement on the pulley!
Going back on Saturday with more time and some tools to investigate, not enough to put me off but good for negotiating with.

    Next update,
Went again to look, chopped the fan belt off and got the alternator to spin,
However put socket on the crank pulley bolts and couldn't get the slightest movement out of it, there is oil in it and it looks ok , could I suppose be rings rusted into the bores through long lack of use?
It's 2.0ltr injection, and pretty unmolested 79 bus, still very tempted.
    Offered £1250
Owner says it stands him at 2k and is prepared to lose a bit but not that much,
    your thoughts appreciated!

  5. Pay the man £1800... it's worth that all day long... another £2k to rebuild the engine, £500 to £1k on bits n bobs, and you should have a running mot'd van (pickup)
