Bloody 'ell there heavy. Just got a gel 110ah and it weighs a ton. I'm no weakling and even I'm struggling to carry it. My old one is to be given away free, so check out parts for sale...
We bought one at a show once, the guy asked if we needed a hand taking it back to the van and we said no it'll be ok - how daft were we? It felt like miles!
Here are some specs etc: http://www.alpha-batteries.co.uk/leisure-batteries/xplorer-110ah-pure-gel-battery/ They also sell on ebay, which is where we got ours from - not cheap by any means, for around the same price you could have got two acid 85ah batteries. i'll post up so pics in a mo as the terminals are quite interesting
I got a 115ah at camperjam a couple of years, walking back through the mud didn't help make it an easy carry.
that'll be how come you can fit a tall battery in then, most of us who use the spare side have a low height one in there.
Battery is no higher than the old one, but was a bit tight fitting it in with the wheel well, no such problem now.
