Anyone have one of these in reasonable nick? Central catch, aluminium opener, preferably with mosi screen?
Not too bothered which side as they can be pulled apart and re jigged...Thanks in advance, V

I think you need to make the pictures public - but no I haven't got one.

  5. I`ve got one, but it`s on mi van ....
Reason I mentioned it is because I had a devil-of-a-time trying to get a seal, ANY seal to suit ..
In the end I used a normal glass to body seal with a filler strip and clear sealer on the inside.
Think you`ll need a 1mm to 1mm seal to get it right

  6. Thanks for the heads up @Lasty ...any chance you could post a pic, so I can see how you've done it. My window's just been sitting in my room gathering dust, waiting to be fitted, so I just presumed it'd be a straightforward replacement...Devon Louvre for Riviera

  7. Is yours recessed windows or panel conversion windows? Riviera used microbus's as a basis for conversion so had factory window recesses
    :)

  8. factory! All rivis started out as kombis so the stock seal should be ok methinks...I'm only guessing it's a Rivi window as I've never seen anything similar...there are three channels...one for the stationary glass, one for the sliding glass and one for a sliding mosi screen...the original catch to keep glass and screen closed was missing so I've fabbed up a spring bracket to to the job...would love to find a matching unit...
think early Rivi windows were screwed in!

  9. Looks different to mine.

  10. think thats a later version with a screw on screen...VW window ASI screen???

  11. Mines a panel conversion - ex dutch postal van, back in the day plentiful.
I`ll see if I can dig out a picture.
The van was given a spruce up mid 90`s - ( pre internet for me .. ) so more access to purveyors of weird rubber these days, spent ages trawling around shows and jumbles all to no avail ...

There's at least 3 types of riviera window, yours looks like it takes a standard seal, can you put up some better pictures and the makers name off the glass and the frame , I may know a man :)

  13. I will indeed...had trouble posting images from flikr earlier on but will give it a go...

1 shows the handle on the mosi net
2 shows the spring catch and Ali bracket I fettled, as original was missing and had nothing to go off
3 shows the offset relative to the inset
4 shows the three channels static glass (with drainage slots) sliding glass, mosi screen...as you look at it
    thumbnail shows the corner profile

Hope someone can recognize it...maybe off something completely random????
