Have you got some form of roll cage in the front of your van? Mind doesn't have all those bars.......
I was waiting for someone to ask yes I have a cage in my van. It's just a cab cage and the reason is I had a crash in the van and did not like how much the thing came into the cab
@grimreaper How you paid will be a factor in your chances of recovering any money paid. If you paid over £100 on credit card, Section 75 means the credit card company are jointly liable. If you paid on debit card, investigate if you can do a chargeback. If you did a bank transfer then I don't know if you have any protection, but it's worth a Google before contacting the bank. If you paid cash then you need to have a face to face conversation with him. Good luck
Who asked you not to mention poor work or the person? There is no issue saying it how it is and being factual. It is better if you choose your words carefully and be concise. Going off on a rant no matter what the provocation or how justified you feel isn’t going to solve the issue it will just give the company a chance to pick us up on slander or defamation of character etc. Better to not give them ammunition to muddy the waters. Being factual and avoiding expletives is a no win for the company. If anyone has problems doing this then just refrain from posting. Or go on Facebook and rant at him!
The yanks would say "Good enough for government work". The wiring - it looks to me that to make a job of it that was both tidy and made sense would be a mission. Looks like you got "holy crap, lets tape it up, tuck it away as best we can but for Christ's sake don't disturb anything or we could face a week chasing faults." Not defending but seriously the wiring looks like bye-bye £2K or owner plods through it. I don't know what the deal was.
Well I think it all works i had a alarm on it and now I not working so got that to look at. I also got to pull the fuse box so I can see what he has done on the back. And also the headlight buckets have not been sealed you can see light coming in on the pictures
I was just pointing out that untidy wiring could be forgiven but unprotected wiring going through sheet metal is a safety factor. It looked like there’s melted cables in one of the pictures as well
This is the nightmare I'm having. I will get some better pictures so you can see how bad this is. And yes there are few wires that run though sheet metal with no protection so I'm going to have fun
I’m amazed he has stayed in business. Engines? From what I’ve seen, Erm no. Bodywork? From what I’ve seen, Erm no.
