Brass and metal and solder. Melts when hot enough on the pressure side of the pump. Mind you that will be with flames licking round the gauge in which case the fuel hose will be going crispy too.
okay okay it's coming off lol. I will set the pressure to 3.5 tomorrow then its off with it. So i just run the engine for a bit, then set the pressure, then turn off, wait a tick then remove and replace with brass plug. PTFE or no?
Mines set to 2.7 ish on ict carbs it's the bigger 85 MM, it's bolted to the spair wheel well with a bit of rubber to stop vibration or that's the idea anyway. I was spectical on the ptfe tape but it's in the instructions
i am supposed to be driving to oxford tomorrow in it and this is stressing me right out now. if i only had hair to pull out.
maybe i can lay some Leak Fix over the blank? http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/N...ives-tapes-sealants/glue/?554771200&0&cc5_851
Everyone recommended it, i need it to regulate the pressure, and it cost me 60 quid. So i can hardly happily bin it. It needs fixing. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
i used a torx drill bit and stamped the end of the lead plug. Looks like it has solved it. Bit of advice from a friend that it might work. Im glad it has.
Yes but you can't exactly where, I thought it might be the plug you replaced the gauge with. Cross posted too. That is pretty poor leaking from new.
I know mate its all a bit complicated sorry. Yeah poor that it leaks. Anyway foxed now, panic over. On to the next bit. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
It's probably becoming hard to believe, but you will get to the point where it's routine service only for 20-30,000 miles or more. Keep going.
Doubt ill have it that long at this rate. Hopefully it will start giving back this wknd. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
