Material for doors and van lining.

  1. Evening all!

I'm looking to re line the whole of my van. Doors and panels. Currently it has the cheap sub woofer box grey carpet spray glued to 3 or 4 mm ply.

I'm looking for a lighter colour and maybe vinyl. I suspect this will be easy to do, easy to clean and make the interior brighter.

What materials have you guys used and where's best to buy them?

    Cheers.

Some bits of it aren't perfect but I'm really happy with the result!

  7. Not sure if it's any help, but I used AS Trim for my T4 headlining. The guys there were super helpful, the service was brilliant and the vinyl top notch. You can browse and buy on line, so it doesn't matter where you are in the country.

I'm lucky that I also have a local fabric place that has end of line stuff much cheaper than stock price. Only downside is they 'have what they have' and sometimes there isn't enough of the one I like! I got some great marine vinyl for the cushion covers though and it was easy to work with.

    HTH

  8. I've used a mixture of stone velatrim 2way stretch carpet, stretch denim and seagrass matting for mine. The velatrim is a doddle to work with in particular and not bank busting in price. Reckon i lined out my whole van in the above 3 materials for around £120

  9. Hmm that is a reasonable price. Got it on watch as a plan b. I've had carpet for a while and quite fancy the smoother look and feel of vinyl. Especially as the 3/4 width bed is quite challenging with me and her indoors both there. I find I wake up with my face buried in the carpet panels. :)
