Didnt ever think i would think like this....but i wanna learn how to ride a motorbike and buy a harley davidson big mofo ,is this a mid life cisisissisisis thingies..?.....what did you older gents do or go mad doing when u hit 40
Don"t sweat the small stuff mate (this day you cannot change) >suggest you go to a pub in Camden and make a night of it/watch all those(young) peeps enjoying themselves ! that's where I ended up on my 40th , and vividly remember thinking " if this is the big dreaded 40 ,I luv it ! ( now,>>> 54 ? this is of course a bit diff !) but you got sooooo many days to serve before you get here , so many days to enjoy.
It's like an invisible barrier to the rest of your life but once through you wonder if you've not gone back on yourself. It's non existent.
No such thing as a mid life crisis...and if there is,i want mine at 50...means i'll live to 100 then...Age is a mere measurement...Dont cut yourself short by having it at 40... Just do what you want, when you want...No crisis, just freedom...
it`s no biggie bud.i was 40 & married 10 years last week.once you get past the day itself you`ll realise you`ve not instantly become incontinent or a downton abbey fan.i just takes a little bit longer to put your socks on.
it seems like 5 minutes since i was 40... now i'm nearer 50 than 40 it's no biggie you just get fatter/shorter/rounder/slower/balder.
haha ! Was that yesterday post that had you reflecting ! Will be right there with you in Feb ( in case anyone missed that fact )................I, myself will be rather pleased to reach 40, I bet there were many back in the day who thought I would never make it
Don't say there is no such thing as a mid life crisis, I've been throwing myself into mine with gusto over the last few years, bought a motorbike (triumph thruxton) joined a gym, discovered G&Ts, and bought a campervan to tinker with! I think I'm doing quite well at it ;-)
I went back to motorbikes but it's not the same when you are older. That sense of being indestructible is replaced by concerns over how hard the road is going to feel if you fall off So i went to fast cars which was fun but expensive and never as exciting as bikes I took up running which kept me reasonably fit and ran a couple of marathons and a load of other races Now running is starting to hurt I have gone to cycling When I bought the van my son said ' What number mid-life crisis is this then? ' ......
