My family are dutch and i have just been sent this pic from a 2nd uncle showing his parents van that they used for their shop.
some more info About the VW van of my father, this is the only picture of it i have. My father bought it new around 1961. The engine was very slow. i remember one of our first trips with it to Your grandparents. with the tent on it was the max speed 80Kmh. My father removed the tent and we drove 100Kmh on the afsluitdijk, that was amazing driving 100. They also one put their own bed in in and went for a holiday to the south With your grandparents the whole family was in the back sitting on our kitchen chairs. The rear lights were small round ones, later the vans had oval lights. I am sorry that i dont have more details of the van, but i send you the scan of the original picture. Greatings from Leo
